Workplace Sisi Museum

The Sisi Museum lies in the Hofburg, in the heart of Vienna - a residence of the Habsburgs for more than 600 years. The Kaiserappartements, the Silberkammer and the museum draw hundreds of thousands of guests from around the world each year - many of them with a very personal connection to Empress Elisabeth.

At the Sisi Museum our teams work as an ensemble across three closely connected areas, in the following roles:

• Guest services & cultural guiding
  Our colleagues welcome guests at the ticketing desk, guide them through the rooms, and share the history and context around Empress Elisabeth and courtly life. Multilingualism is especially in demand here. In the historic rooms, our invigilators look after the protection of guests, rooms and objects - many of the exhibited pieces are originals from the Empress's personal possession.
• Cleaning
  Our cleaning staff work as part of the on-site team, taking care of cleanliness and specialist custodial cleaning.
• Shop
  The museum shop offers curated keepsakes around Sisi and the Hofburg - from books and reproductions through to design products.
