We act as an imperial host, courteously welcoming guests from Austria and the whole world to the places of his realm, providing top entertainment, and giving them genuine royal treatment. Our main aim is to ensure quality, responsibility and firm partnerships for mutual success.

With Schönbrunn Palace, the Imperial Furniture Collection Vienna, the Sisi Museum in the Vienna Hofburg and the Schloss Hof Estate, the Schönbrunn Group, which is registered as Schloss Schönbrunn Kultur- und Betriebsges.m.b.H., administers in the name of the Republic of Austria the foremost attractions of Austria’s Imperial heritage. Starting in 1992, these cultural assets owned by the Republic of Austria were successively entrusted to the Schönbrunn Group in the form of usufruct and lease contracts.

With the support of around 500 employees we generate our resources ourselves, our objective being to authentically safeguard the cultural treasures entrusted to us, to show these treasures to many people, to make our historic locations and histories accessible, and furthermore to develop them in terms of cultural communication.

Training and further education in the Schönbrunn Academy

European Cultural Heritage Organisations Customer Awareness Staff Trainings


ECHOCAST is a practice-oriented standard for enhancing the quality of guest and visitor service. The quality of the service is reflected not only in the amount of accessible theoretical knowledge but also in the quality of encounter between staff and guests/visitors. This standard is practised in training and implemented in several cultural operations in Austria and Germany, for example in the KHM (Kunsthistorisches Museum) Association and in the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere.

The Schönbrunn Group is ECHOCAST-certified and therefore ensures a qualified and motivated guest and visitor service. All employees working in the ticket offices, the shops, in the visitor information department and the historical rooms are trained, certified and repeatedly re-certified in customer service and safety.
